Galleria Botticelli antique shop was founded in Terni in 1980 thanks to Doctor Franco Franconi 's enthusiasm, and was run for 25 years by his sons Enrico and Spartaco, dealing in high quality antiques and important works of art.
From the initial passion for stamp collecting and numismatics they continued with sixteenth and seventeenth century Italian furniture, paintings, sculptures, majolicas, and bronzes from the Italian Renaissance. The art gallery participates in the high level antiques trade, and has taken part in important events such as the Modenantiquaria, Brixiantiquaria, Assisi, Cortona, Todi, Viterbo, and Parma exhibitions and has organized important events on behalf of public bodies, such as on the occasion of the bicentenary, the exhibition on the French Revolution at the headquarters of Terni Province, and the exhibition on Neapolitan Cribs in Cenacolo S.Marco. For approximately a year the art gallery has been in its new location, Via Donatello 2 ,where it is possible to admire the collection peacefully and discreetly.
In its purchasing, the gallery has always favoured quality and authenticity providing its clients with photographic guarantees, expertise, specific documentations, laboratory tests, thermoluminescence, infrared reflectography , x-rays,etc. using the best professionals in the restoration and research field.
The gallery is able to carry out valuations, surveys, and cataloguing with professionalism and discretion, for public bodies, notarial offices , lawyers, and individuals.

ASSISI ANTIQUARIATO 2014


"Assisi Antiquariato", in the spring of "antique" art, has occupied a significant positions for many years: it is an appointment that cannot be missed ,for art lovers, antiquarians, academics, and just nosey people. The national exhibition is taking place for the 39th time and, will be held from 25 April till the 4 May at Umbriafiere Space in Bastia Umbra, which for the occasion it has been converted into an elegant and useful art gallery. Eighty antiquarians, the best that the international scene can offer, will suggest to the public unusual and evocative antiques, unique and fancy collectors' items, fragments, and pragmatic proof of a glorious past. As usual foreign antiquarians will be many and varied, about fifteen in total, from Belgium, France, Spain, and Principality of Monaco. "Assisi Antiquariato" stays on target on quality, thanks especially to the strict selection of exhibitors by an experienced art committee.
